Software engineer, builder, community person

I build useful internet things and I like them to feel human.

I am Ayomide Elijah Oduba. I work across Next.js, React, Python, and automation to turn messy ideas into products people actually use, from nonprofit platforms and internal tools to AI helpers and mobile-first experiments.

Selected work

Things I have built lately, from give-back work to product experiments.

Beyond work

Code is also how I show up for community.

ProjectGenova animated preview

I do not want my portfolio to read like I only care about tickets and ship dates. Some of the work I am proudest of lives where software meets access, belonging, and people trying to build better futures.

Black Boys Code

I care about spaces that make tech feel possible, visible, and welcoming for Black youth. That kind of representation work matters to me as much as shipping features.

ProjectGenova

ProjectGenova is part of how I give back: using product thinking, design, and engineering to help a community-facing organization present itself with clarity and trust.

Community service

I like building things that do something in the real world, whether that is helping people find opportunities, giving a nonprofit a stronger digital home, or making a tool easier for a small team to actually use.

What that means in practice

I am not only interested in polished interfaces. I am interested in software that creates access, momentum, and a sense that someone thoughtful was behind the experience.

About

I like software that feels clear, useful, and a little bit alive.

I work best on products where the shape is still being discovered: small-team tools, nonprofit platforms, marketplaces, AI-assisted workflows, and anything that needs equal parts taste and engineering. I like figuring out the structure, but I also like making the final thing feel warm enough that people actually enjoy using it.

Frontend React, Next.js, TypeScript, responsive interfaces, product UX, and interactions that do not feel stiff.
Backend Python, Flask, Node.js, APIs, data workflows, auth-aware systems, and useful automation.
Energy Community-minded builds, MVPs with personality, nonprofit work, mentoring, and products that solve an actual problem.

If you are building something useful, thoughtful, or a little ambitious, we will probably get along.

I am especially interested in product engineering, nonprofit tech, community-minded software, AI-enabled workflows, and teams that care about both execution and people.
